Version 2.0 makes the login card a working form: every field is labelled and validated, the password has a show/hide button, and there is a keep-me-signed-in option and a success state. It adds the two pages the login links to — a forgot-password page (forgot-password.html) and a sign-up page (sign-up.html, with a live password-strength bar) — plus three ready-to-send HTML emails in the same design: password reset (email-password-reset.html), welcome (email-welcome.html) and new sign-in alert (email-signin-alert.html). The Facebook and Google buttons link to their providers, the fonts are self-hosted, and each form can be pointed at your own server with one attribute.
- A working login form: labelled fields, validation with the problems listed in one box under the card (focus goes to the first bad field)
- forgot-password.html — where Forgot Password? now goes: email field, validation and a "check your inbox" confirmation. Marked noindex.
- sign-up.html — where Sign Up now goes: name, email and password with a live strength bar (8+ characters), validation and a welcome panel.
- Three ready-to-send HTML emails, one per form: email-password-reset.html
- Connect it to your server: add data-endpoint="https://your-site.com/api/…" to a form and it is POSTed there; on the login form data-redirect="…" sends the visit
- On a tablet or phone the logo, card and links sit vertically centred on the screen; on a short landscape phone the page scrolls from the top.
- Every link went to "#": Forgot Password? and Sign Up now go to their pages and the Facebook and Google buttons go to the providers (point them at your own OAuth
- The page had no <h1>; a visually hidden one ("Member sign in") was added and the visible LOGO heading is untouched.

What’s new
- A working login form: labelled fields, validation with the problems listed in one box under the card (focus goes to the first bad field), a show/hide password button, "Keep me signed in" (remembers the username in the visitor's browser) and a success panel that greets the user by name.
- forgot-password.html — where Forgot Password? now goes: email field, validation and a "check your inbox" confirmation. Marked noindex.
- sign-up.html — where Sign Up now goes: name, email and password with a live strength bar (8+ characters), validation and a welcome panel.
- Three ready-to-send HTML emails, one per form: email-password-reset.html, email-welcome.html and email-signin-alert.html. Table-based and inline-styled for Gmail, Outlook and Apple Mail, no images, {{placeholders}} for your mailer.
- Connect it to your server: add data-endpoint="https://your-site.com/api/…" to a form and it is POSTed there; on the login form data-redirect="…" sends the visitor on after sign-in. Without them the forms run as a demo (each shows a "Demo only" line — delete those lines when you go live). Details at the top of js/main.js.
- On a tablet or phone the logo, card and links sit vertically centred on the screen; on a short landscape phone the page scrolls from the top.
- Every link went to "#": Forgot Password? and Sign Up now go to their pages and the Facebook and Google buttons go to the providers (point them at your own OAuth sign-in URLs). The button icons no longer carry the alt text "fb" and "google".
- The page had no <h1>; a visually hidden one ("Member sign in") was added and the visible LOGO heading is untouched.
- The inputs had names but no labels, and the password field did not tell password managers it was a password: fixed.
- PT Sans now ships inside the page (woff2, the two weights used); nothing is fetched from Google. Meta description added to every page; the credit line shows the current year.
- Bootstrap 3.3.7 -> Bootstrap 5 (CSS only; no JS bundle is needed) and one dependency-free js/main.js.
