Elegant 404 page is a responsive page that can be clearly visible on all the devices. This eye catching white and red highlighting page with black font is responsive and can be a unique way to saying a website error to your users. This elegant error page can be used for business, corporate, industry, agency, etc..
Version 2.0 adds four pages in the same design — a contact page with a validating form that the Contact link opens (contact.html), a server-error page (500.html), a scheduled-maintenance page with a live countdown and a notify-me email form (maintenance.html) and a no-internet page whose Try Again button reloads (offline.html) — plus three ready-to-send HTML emails: the contact auto-reply (email-contact.html), the notify-me confirmation (email-notify.html) and a maintenance notice (email-maintenance-notice.html). The site links now lead somewhere, the layout is centred on tablet and phone, and the font is self-hosted.

- contact.html — where the Contact link now goes: name, email and message with validation (the problems are listed in one box) and a confirmation. Add data-endpoint to POST it to your own server; without it the form is a demo ("Demo only" lines — delete them when you go live). Details at the top of js/main.js.

- The site links appear on every page. On a tablet or phone the red band and the white block sit vertically centred: they share the free height, so no stray strip of the wrong colour opens above or below.
- All five links went to "#" and reloaded the page. Home now goes to "/", Contact to the contact page, and About, Services and Portfolio to /about/, /services/ and /portfolio/ — POINT THESE AT YOUR OWN PAGES (they are the five <a> links in the <nav> of each page).
- The links are a proper <nav aria-label="Site"> and the current page is marked for screen readers. The credit reads "All Rights Reserved" (it said "All Right Reserved") and shows the current year.
- Lato ships inside the page (woff2, the three cuts the page renders: 400, 700 and 900) instead of eight cuts fetched from Google.
- Meta description added (the page title stays "404"); the dead container / row wrappers, an unused h2 rule and a duplicated padding rule are gone.
- Plain HTML and CSS plus one dependency-free js/main.js — no framework, no jQuery, nothing fetched from Google.
- Recolour in one place: --red and --navy at the top of css/style.css.
