Version 2.0 adds a launch countdown under the heading and a notify-me email form, with three pages around them in the same design — a contact page with a validating form (contact.html), a scheduled-maintenance / back-soon page with its own countdown (maintenance.html) and a short privacy notice for the addresses the forms collect (privacy.html) — plus two ready-to-send HTML emails: the notify-me confirmation (email-notify.html) and the contact auto-reply (email-contact.html). The social icons now link to their networks, the placeholder text is real copy, and the layout no longer cuts off on a short screen.
- Countdown timer under the heading — four boxes (days / hours / minutes / seconds) driven by one data-launch date; empty = 30 days from the visitor's first visit
- Notify-me email form: validates
- contact.html — where Contact Us now goes: name, email and message with validation and a confirmation.
- maintenance.html — the "Back Soon" sister page: same layout, countdown set to when maintenance ends (default 7 days) and the notify-me form. Marked noindex.
- privacy.html — a short notice on what the forms collect and how to be removed; linked from under the notify-me form. Placeholder details for you to replace.
- email-notify.html — the "you're on the list" confirmation the notify-me form sends.
- email-contact.html — the automatic reply the contact form sends. Both emails are table-based and inline-styled for Gmail, Outlook and Apple Mail, use no images
- The lorem-ipsum paragraph is real copy; the credit line shows the current year.

What’s new
- Countdown timer under the heading — four boxes (days / hours / minutes / seconds) driven by one data-launch date; empty = 30 days from the visitor's first visit. When it passes the boxes hide and "We're live!" shows.
- Notify-me email form: validates, shows an inline error or a thank-you that names the address. Add data-endpoint to POST it to your own server; without it the form is a demo (each shows a "Demo only" line to delete when you go live). Details at the top of js/main.js.
Both emails are table-based and inline-styled for Gmail, Outlook and Apple Mail, use no images, and carry {{placeholders}} for your mailer.
- The lorem-ipsum paragraph is real copy; the credit line shows the current year.
- All five links went to "#" and reloaded the page: Contact Us goes to the contact page and the four social icons go to their networks (the wifi symbol is an RSS link to /feed.xml — point it wherever your feed is). The icons now carry labels for screen readers.
- The page had two <h1>s (the LOGO placeholder and the title); the title is now the one heading and LOGO is a plain text block with the same look.
- The whole column was absolutely positioned at 50% (and 35% / 55% / 20% at four breakpoints), so on a short screen — a landscape phone — the top of the page was cut off with no way to scroll to it. It now centres exactly as before and scrolls when it has to. On a phone the column takes the screen's width (it was squeezed to half of it, too narrow for a form).
- Meta description added; the second font stylesheet and the woff files are gone (the woff2 files load straight from style.css); 7 unused CSS rules dropped.
- No framework, no jQuery: one stylesheet (css/style.css) and one dependency-free script (js/main.js). Antonio ships inside the page (the same files as version 1).
- Recolour in one place: --accent at the top of css/style.css.
