offline.html — "No Internet Connection": a crossed-out wifi glyph where the 404 stands, the wifi icon that shipped in version 1 (never used) beside the caption, a Try Again button that reloads, and a line that says when the connection is back.
maintenance.html — "We'll Be Back Soon": a countdown in four boxes (days / hours / minutes / seconds) to the date you put in the data-deadline attribute — leave it blank and it counts down from seven days — and a Notify Me email line. Marked noindex.
500.html — "Something Went Wrong": the server-error twin of the 404, with Try Again and the Home button.
email-maintenance-notice.html — the email that goes out before the maintenance page goes up: the photograph and the company name between its lines on top, the start and back-by times in two cells, expected downtime, an outlined "Check the status page" button. Table based and inline styled so it renders in Gmail, Outlook and Apple Mail; {{name}}, {{start}}, {{end}}, {{duration}}, {{status_url}} and {{email}} are the mailer's placeholders. A how-to-use note is at the top of the file.
A social row (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) from the three icons version 1 shipped in images/ and never placed. Point the links at your profiles.
The Home button goes to your site root ("/") instead of "#".
The copy keeps 15px from the screen edges on phones; version 1 ran it edge to edge below 500px.
A title and meta description per page; the copyright link opens in a new tab; https links throughout.
No framework — this widget never needed one (version 1 had .container and .row in the markup with nothing styling them). One 9 KB stylesheet, one dependency-free js/main.js (Try Again, countdown, notify form).
Lato self-hosted in the two cuts the design uses (regular, bold) as woff2; version 1 fetched eight cuts from Google Fonts. Nothing is loaded from a third party.
The notify form ships in demo mode (data-demo): a valid submit shows a confirmation instead of posting. Remove the attribute and set action to your endpoint; the check still runs and only a valid address is sent.
