Bistrofeast – Restaurant & Café Next.js Template

The Bistrofeast neighbourhood bistro & café design, rebuilt as a Next.js application with Payload CMS embedded at /admin. The menu, the team, the gallery, testimonials, suppliers, kitchen notes, every booking and enquiry, and every fixed text are edited in a clean admin panel; the site renders them on every request, no rebuild.

• One menu list — every dish has a course, a price, the ember tag and a photo; it appears on the full menu page (course tabs), the home-page "taste of the menu" tabs and the hero's "Tonight's board" with two checkboxes. Change a price and it is live everywhere.
• Real reservations — the booking form stores every table in the admin with a reference and a status for the floor team, emails you, and sends the guest the branded confirmation email from the template with the date, time, guests and reference filled in (when SMTP is set). Party-size limits and every label are settings.
• Team (portrait grid + chef cards with bio and email, also the note authors), Gallery with the lightbox, Testimonials per page, Suppliers counter cards.
• Site Settings on one tabbed screen — header, the signature hero (title lines, accent word, facts, board), every section title, counters, About page story / steps, page headers, contact details, map, the emails, footer, SEO.
• Built-in enquiry form for private dining and big tables — saved in the admin, emailed to you, confirmed to the visitor.
• Kitchen notes (blog) with categories, tags, search, author box and reading time; styled 404 and thank-you pages (with the "Table booked" state).
• Zero-config — SQLite file database, npm run seed loads the demo with an admin user; Postgres swap documented for serverless hosts.
• Pixel-identical to the free HTML template: the same stylesheet and dependency-free behaviours, Bootstrap 5.3, inline Tabler icons, self-hosted Space Grotesk + Inter. TypeScript, React server components, versions pinned. Next.js 16, Payload 3, Node 20.9+.
